Pedal & Whine - Albion Malleable Bike Tour

Press Release: June 18, 2025

The Pedal & Whine – Albion Malleable Bike Tour scheduled for August 2, 2025-- is a
fundraising event to support bicycling in Michigan. The Tour attracts hundreds of riders each
year.

The ride this year will be hosted once again by the very popular Albion Malleable Brewing
Company. With 5 routes ranging from 17 to 65 miles on low-traffic paved roads of eastern
Calhoun and western Jackson counties, this event offers something for every rider. Two
gravel routes through Amish country south of Homer are also being offered for riders who
enjoy riding the least traveled roads. E-Bikes will be welcome at this event, and helmets are
required.

Riders will be supported by members and friends of the Cascades Cycling Club who will
provide cold drinks, fruit and tasty snacks at 4 different rest stops along the way. Rider
support will also be provided by “SAG” drivers who will help fix mechanical problems and
transport riders back to Albion as needed.

At the finish, riders will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the expert staff at Albion
Malleable Brewing Company.

The Cascades Cycling Club is a registered 501(c) 4 non-profit in the state of Michigan.
Founded in 1982 with a mission to promote bicycling for “All Riders – All Abilities”, club
members have been doing that ever since with scheduled weekly rides and events like
Pedal & Whine.

Funds raised by this event have been donated to support bicycling in the area and in
Michigan, ranging from helping the Chelsea Fire Authority to purchase a mountain bike trail
rescue vehicle to donating thousands of dollars to the League of Michigan Bicyclists.
