Hank Green: Lessons From 15 Years of Freaking Out About Climate Change on the Internet

Keynote by Hank Green, modern-day Renaissance man and environmental activist.

Brother of best-selling novelist John Green, Hank Green has created and founded a number of internet-based projects, including educational channels for YouTube, the environmental technology blog EcoGeek, the Internet Creators Guild and VidCon, the world's largest conference for online video producers. His videos have been viewed more than 2 billion times on YouTube and The Washington Post named him "one of America's most popular science teachers." Green has also started several businesses and is currently writing a sequel to his debut novel, An Absolutely Remarkable Thing.

The 50th anniversary of Earth Day doesn't take place until April, but Albion College starts the celebration in March, thanks to a major gift from Bruce Harper, '67, and his wife Jane. The Harpers gave more than $100,000 to Albion College for climate-change education and action, and to commemorate Earth Day. All events are free and open to the public.
